Friendship

Friendship.

One word which is known to the young and the old. Often for couples they say-“matches are made in heaven”. I say friends are made in heaven.

I might have a whole different outlook towards this concept. I don’t think the whole idea of having someone to go out with and spending recklessly at some pub counts for friendship, (maybe it is the case for some). However, for me friendship is that connection which is so strong that even if you are far away from him/her, you feel their presence in your life. The fact that ever met of yours, be it after a day, a week, a month or a year, it’s exactly the same. The equation never changes. You don’t feel, that the lack of your physical presence caused a harm to your friendship.

Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.
As we grow up, we meet ‘n’ number of people, we try to become friends, but the connection is what matters the most. The heart to heart connection is what I am talking about. Friends are those that wont judge you for gaining those extra pounds of holiday weight, they won’t look down upon you if you lack knowledge somewhere, (they will rather help you in learning about the topic), around them you won’t feel left out if you are broke, they will understand your sadness after breakups and will say something which will immediately crack you up, and the list goes on. They are a rare bunch of crazy, awesome, lunatics and the offenses against them are what strengthens the friendship!

Friends are for keeps,
With them you share the feels.
To find them is the treasure hunt of life,
Once found, you know you will never have to hide.
P.S. - Dedicated to all my lovely friends, you guys mean the world to me! Love you!

F for First!!

Use this word in front of any other word and it will invariably give you a new experience!
First Drive, First Holiday, First Date, First Kiss, First Love and the list is infinite.

New experiences are scary and nerve wrecking at the beginning. They have a certain amount of uncertainty involved, the fear of the unknown, the excitement of the unexpected and the joy of the whole experience.

I have always been scared of trying new things. I was ready to live my life in a plain and simple manner, instead of having new experiences and adding variety to life!

My friends have always told me to experiment new things but I always back out! Why?I think the main reason for it is that, I felt if anything goes wrong, I will have only myself to blame. So to avoid all this and to be better safe than sorry, I kept my distance.

However, I did something recently for the First Time and frankly it was a little too much. But to my surprise it turned out to be better than I had expected. All those thoughts, that I might have to blame myself in the event of things taking undesirable turn, have been erased! As of now things look good.

To take this initiative I was pushed by my Friend, "Tia". And here is to you - Thank you so much Darling. Love you! :)

Time Passes, Memories Remain.

While everyone appreciated the concept of book related blog posting, a certain friend expressed his utmost hatred towards this idea. According to him, I should continue posting on more generalized topics.
So I've decided on posting book related topics once every week, while dedicating my other posts to ideas that randomly pop up in my head.

To get it started with, today's post relates to Memories.

For men may come and men may go,
But I go on for ever.
                                          - THE BROOK By Alfred Lord Tennyson

I can related to the words of the great poet, the meaning seems so very true at this point in life.
"Men may come and men may go" -  you will meet new people, give them a space in your life, share Memories with them but for how long?? We trust people and we share our lives with them, only to realize that it wasn't meant forever. Forever is a strong word .
"I go on for ever" - Time doesn't wait for anyone, it moves ahead leaving you with all the remembrance from the past.

In the past few years, I have had the pleasure of meeting some amazing people and opening the doors of friendship for them. The time spent together were filled with joy, laughter and promises. Only that Promise is a heavy word. It is a huge responsibility, which if not kept can turn the lovely friendship into a sour relationship.
When we are together, we think life will be this way forever and we enjoy the moments we have together, but do we think of future ? Do we consider the fact that in a few years time, we might live in different places and have rare and seldom talks? No, we don't. Some may call this the beauty of the moment, but i think this is the game that Time plays with us. It tricks us into believing that the happiness and joy we are experiencing will last a lifetime. Certainly it does, but most of the times only in our memories.
The heartbreaks that people face, when someone they truly loved turns their back without giving a proper explanation, leaves them shattered and broken. They think it was their fault for which their loved one left them.
But it is not so, the person who left you behind without giving a proper cause, is nothing but a coward!! And however this will sound like a cliche - "you are well off without that person".
Time might have played the tricks according to Its will, but you can rise above and defeat It by changing your life, by making better choices , by keeping distance from people who only stick around to take advantage of you. Time only has the upper hand in one respect- It moves on and doesn't stop for anyone or anything. We on the other hand lag behind when things don't work out . But to keep moving on with Time will only keep us from breaking down for people who don't deserve it.

This is dedicated to a friend, who is the nicest person I have ever known. She can never be mean to others, however she is tricked by Time always.

I know this wasn't much of a fun related topic, but I had to put it out there for all the wonderful people who fall into traps of evil and are left heartbroken.
I hope you liked this read, for I genuinely wish you all live a happy life, smiling all the time.

Pen Friend !!

Hey Everyone ! Its been quite sometime since I last posted in my blog, so before starting I would like to apologize for the delay.

So, now that you all have read the header, I am quite sure many of you have had Pen Friends, so I thought why not share my experience of having one as well!

This is about the friend I have had for quite sometime now. ( Since I don't want to disclose the person's identity, for convenience lets call the person "A" )

"A" added me on a social networking site, through a mutual friend. Unlike my thoughts regarding how this friendship will turn out to be, whether we will have anything to talk about, whether the awkwardness (of not meeting a person and yet writing to each other) will persist or not , I realized that it is actually just my misconception. "A" is a very nice person, never forgets the limit , never does something that might offend me. Since we both are from the same study background, I often seek A's help in a variety of study related issues. Its really sweet of "A" to not get angry and annoyed with all the nagging I do!! I know now that even though we have never met, if I face any trouble or seek help, "A" will not back out from lending a helping hand.

Its funny how some of my friends find it absolutely insane and cannot figure out how we are still talking to each other without meeting. But I  know that I cannot  really explain it to them. :)

However, I would like to wrap it up now. I know there are many of you out there who have pen friends too. So please feel free to write a comment or share it !

Have a Great Day Ahead everyone!!

New Year~New beginning

Another year passed by and its already 4 days into the New Year, so it’s time to get started with blogging!!
Not to sound too philosophical but in this blog post I would like to share two things that are important to me and matter the most in the world.

1.  Being nice to your parents and family.
Often we tend to forget this. We know that we will always have our parents to guide us, to support us, to love us and to forgive us. But does that give us the right to treat them as we wish? No! They deserve the respect, the time and the love. In our daily lives, we often tend to find ourselves tangled up with a bundle of work, which leaves us with little time for our family. But in spite of that I think we should make it a point to sit down for sometime everyday to talk them and be a part of the family. Parents never ask for anything, they only want us to be happy .So why can we not make an effort to do the same and make them feel needed in our lives.
Laugh with them, share with them your joys and success, hear their problems and also share yours. By doing this, you will not lose out on valuable time but indeed you will build a much stronger bond with them, you will find satisfaction within.

Trust me on this- The blessings of your parents is the most precious gift you can ever ask for. Try to value it and be proud of them.

  2.  One real friend is better than many fake ones.
Now before getting into this, let me clear one thing- this is my personal view point, I know a lot of people who have many good friends. So please don’t be offended by this.

So as I was saying, one real friend is enough to fill the void in your life that was caused by the numerous failed friendships. To trust someone completely is a tough thing to do, but if you can build that trust, no matter where you stay or after how many months you meet, the bonding remains the same. The moment you meet, it feels like it was just yesterday that you last met. He/she becomes like family and you feel free to share anything without thinking twice, without the fear of being judged or mocked upon.  You then don’t feel the urge to go for a huge friend circle, since one is enough.

Okay, so that is basically it. I hope you guys did not get too bored reading this piece.
Be nice to the people you care about the most and you will see that life is much easier to deal with.
Happy new year every one, have a great year ahead.
