G for Girl

Disappointment was all around,

When the little one opened her eyes and looked around.

Wanting a boy was on their mind,

Entering the room, a girl, did they find.  

As she grew up, a little brother did she have,

Playing with him, love was all she gave.

All she wished for was to be loved like her brother,

But she was always treated as the unwanted other.

Today she walks as a company’s chairman,

Everyone respects her, calls her Ma’am.

She knew the battle was her own,

Making a life, now she shows the world to the level she has grown.

The little brother, whom she still loves,

Is an employee in the company she works.

Giving so much importance to the boy, what did the parents find?

He considers them a burden in his life!

The girl that they considered unwanted,

Who craved for their acceptance.

From medical issues to family outing,

Lives today with them, takes care of all their expense.

A girl child is not a curse, not a mistake,

It is a blessing that God gave.

Respect her, love her, encourage her,

She will rule the world, she has such Power.

F for Forgiveness

Just words and talk, is not what this is,

Forgiveness is a deed, mightier than we believe.

Forgive and forget- something heard often,

Indeed it is helpful, frees you from the burden.

All those incidents and the ugly fights,

Caused you only trouble in its light.

It took a place in your heart,

Highlighting only the negative part.

Passing days make things worse,

Blinding you of your senses and making you curse.

The annoyance and irritation builds up,

Ruins the relationship, widens the distance you have.

There still remains a part of you,

Wishing for things to be normal between you two.

You feel pained, sadden by the turn of events,

Desperately wanting to end the fight, make amends.

It is this desperation that needs to be heard,

Willing to give the relationship another chance.

Forgiving the other, ending the blame game,

Sorting things out, redefining the relationship’s name.

In forgiveness lies the satisfaction,

Transforms you into a better person, by making those corrections.

Let not the rigidity be a hindrance, a barrier,

If something is good, forgive and be happier.

In prayers we seek the forgiveness,

Forgive those who trespass against us.

Fights happen, relationships get sour,

But think about the good that is at stake, thus Forgive, it is in your Power.

E for End

The life we live, the time we have,

Everything has an end.

Today we breathe, in this moment we feel,

Soon all will be over, and we will be still.

Why don’t we enjoy the good times we have?

Why can’t we be grateful for what we get?

Is it Always the greed for more happiness in life?

That we forget to experience the present, and be alive?

 For dust thou art,
And unto dust shalt thou return

Then why not make this life a better ride?

Acknowledging the goodness, living with pride.

We crave for money,

We die for wealth,

Only trying to live someone else’s life,

Ignoring the good that God gave.

Not forever will we last,

The “now” moments will be past.

Then why give into the greed of the uncertain future?

End is approaching, make the most of the present, for its now or never.

D for dream

Do dreams mean anything?

How often is it that you wish for something so hard that it is visits you in your dreams every single night!

I have had the pleasure to become familiar with a recurring dream. It first gave me the creeps, because I felt – “What the hell is happening? Why am I Dreaming about it over and over again?”

But later I thought it might be the sheer want to have it so bad, which caused the dream to reoccur.

I believe that, if you want something, dream it! Dream Big!! But in that have the zeal to make the dream come true. Don’t Sleep on the dream, work towards it.

Life provides us with opportunities, it gives us situations where we can give life to that dream. We come face to face with our dream, but little do we know how to seize the moment and make the most of it. We think we shall wait for the right opportunity, however opportunities come rarely and the ones that do should be grabbed then and there.

Dream High, Dream Great,  

Make the effort and Create. 

Live the life you wished and Dreamed for, 

You have the courage, you possess the power.

C for College

The year that passed, gave me memories that will last,

The friends I made, the days I spent, will cherish them in my heart.

Those silly laughter at the cafeteria, the cute crushes we found,

Crazy dance rehearsals, to intense brainstorming of fests all year round.

It was a fun ride with highs and lows,

Thank you College for giving me those.

The outing with friends, the outstation getaways,

Made me come closer with to my friends in many ways.

Seniors were so very helpful,

Made our lives pretty peaceful.

The days we spent working, finishing those crazy tasks,

Breaking our heads and emerging victorious at last.

Made me realize how talented they are,

Encouraging us, teaching us, training us to be better than we are.

It was because of them, that college was a smooth sail,

Becoming friends with these amazing people has been the highlight, without a fail.

Now they are gone and we shall not meet often,

Talks will reduce and so will the meetings that used to happen.

But I believe with all my heart that talks and meets are trivial matters,

Because when we meet again, history shall be created once again, forever.

That day it wasn’t your fault, you weren’t the one to be blamed.

You let others know what happened and yet they remained indifferent.

Be bold, be strong my dear friend.

The dress you wore, the walk you had, did not invite the shame.

It was he, the uncivilized, who acted lower than any human.

Be bold, be true to yourself.

The screams you cried, the help you asked were all in vain,

There was no one, in that dark night, to relieve you from the pain.

Be bold, be brave my friend.

The night went by, and life can never be the same,

Complaints were filed, but he walked around unaffected.

The scars went, leaving the dreadful memory of the night,

Made you stronger in every possible way to face any fight.

Future may have its set of hardship,

But you are prepared, ready to tackle all of it.

There is God Almighty who sees the right and the wrong,

He made you stronger than you thought you could ever become.

You are a warrior, a true fighter indeed.

You are bold, a survivor, a hero with fierce spirit.

A for Alive.

The  life we have is the life we choose for ourselves.

In our lives

 “we accept the love we think we deserve”, 

but little do we know that we are worth a lot more, that we are capable of being loved beyond limits . There is someone for each one of you, who will find their smile hidden in your’s, who will think of you as the most beautiful creation of God, who will love you like you have never been loved before.

Love, the purest form of feeling that makes you feel alive, sets you free and makes you bolder. Love , as most people have said, cannot be expressed in words but if I were to express love , it would be

Open

Vibrant

Expressive

To say I love you, to love someone is a great feeling but to be loved by someone is what counts. Be the person that is loved, accept the guy for whom you are the world, acknowledge the love you receive and be grateful.

Because outer beauty may fade out, the youth won’t last forever but the one who falls in love with you for your inner beauty, who sees the real you, who can feel the sadness you hide underneath that smile of yours, the one who knows what to say when you are upset, the one with whom silence is uncomfortable is the guy you should be with.
