G for Grateful!!

How often do we Thank God for all that He has given us?! Once a day, once a week or even better when something good happens to us. We have become such self centered human beings that thanking seems like a burden!
The Bible said

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 

                                                                                               John 3:16

God has done so much for us, and we can't find a little amount of time from the life that He has given us, to thank Him?

And why only God, do we thank the people we are surrounded by?! We have forgotten to be Thankful towards people who are kind and who care for us. Whenever someone helps you, if you say "thank you", it only enhances his/her satisfaction of helping you. When a waiter serves, a doorman opens the gate, a maid cleans the room - say thank you, and see the joy in their faces and happiness for being acknowledged for their hard work. You will love yourself more, by loving everything that happens to you throughout the day.

Thus being Grateful towards human beings and towards Lord Almighty, will only make you a better person, a happier individual!

F for First!!

Use this word in front of any other word and it will invariably give you a new experience!
First Drive, First Holiday, First Date, First Kiss, First Love and the list is infinite.

New experiences are scary and nerve wrecking at the beginning. They have a certain amount of uncertainty involved, the fear of the unknown, the excitement of the unexpected and the joy of the whole experience.

I have always been scared of trying new things. I was ready to live my life in a plain and simple manner, instead of having new experiences and adding variety to life!

My friends have always told me to experiment new things but I always back out! Why?I think the main reason for it is that, I felt if anything goes wrong, I will have only myself to blame. So to avoid all this and to be better safe than sorry, I kept my distance.

However, I did something recently for the First Time and frankly it was a little too much. But to my surprise it turned out to be better than I had expected. All those thoughts, that I might have to blame myself in the event of things taking undesirable turn, have been erased! As of now things look good.

To take this initiative I was pushed by my Friend, "Tia". And here is to you - Thank you so much Darling. Love you! :)

E for E-books!!

Ever since I have found out that I can read E-books on my phone, I have been literally obsessed about it. The moment I downloaded the books, I started reading them and read 3 books back to back. However since I had to join office, I wasn't left with much time to read, as a result the remaining books are now stacked up inside my cell phone.

I am not sure if it is only me , or there are others, but I feel I can read a lot faster when it is an E-book. Though I have mentioned earlier and will mention it again, I absolutely love paperbacks, but somehow E-books seem to speed up my reading. I haven't bought a Kindle reader for myself mainly because I love paperbacks and I would love to see and feel the books that I have already read. If I buy a Kindle, I will be tempted to buy E-books and my paperback collection will reduce drastically.

Still E-books seem to pace up my reading speed and thus even if its not a Kindle, I will continue reading e-books on my smartphone every now and then.

D for Doodling!!

This word- Doodling, came to my attention one day when I was searching for a certain video! There is a channel of an artist who uploads her drawing and shares it with the world. Her drawing were so beautiful, that I could not resist myself and tried to do some "doodling" myself.

I must admit, even though the end products are something that I am proud of, the continuous 3 to 4 hours devotion towards a single piece is a huge challenge.

I am not some amazing artist, but this doodling activity has become quite an interest, and I try to doodle as often as I can.

Here are a few of those doodles.

C for Creativity!!

Creativity, this word is as natural in our family, as breathing is to human being. Every member in my Family is gifted in some way or the other. Even though we have not taken it up as our career, the passion still lingers in our heart.

Starting with the eldest member of the family- Dad! He is a commerce graduate, with a law degree, who is now a businessman. He has always been passionate about singing but couldn't take it up as a full time profession because of financial responsibilities. However, he never let go of the passion and practiced everyday, eventually he recorded his songs and launched an album!

Next up is Mom. She did not pursue a professional career, since she wanted to give all her time and attention in raising her kids. She is immensely talented , for she can kint and create soft toys, dresses and table covers , all handmade :) She wasted her talent for many years when we were growing up but now she is back doing what she loves and I am so glad to see her happy.

Third in line is my brother. When he was young, he played Tabla flawlessly and we were sure that he would take it up professionally. But he swayed off, and things started looking messy. Now he has found another instrument - Guitar, which he learnt to play all by himself, and is doing what his heart always desired- pursing music studies. I wish his dedication bears fruit.

As for me, I am always loved dancing and started training from a very young age. Having over 10 years professional Dance training, it was indeed difficult for me to let go off dance. But with studies, I was left with very little time and thus dance had to take the 2nd place.

Anyway, that was an awful lot of personal talk for one tiny post. However, I would love to hear from you guys, what is it that you are passionate about!

B For Books!!

Now, wasn't that just too predictable?! Yes, I guessed so! But I cannot really help it, for if I choose any other topic, it will be unfair to "Books".

I have always heard people talk about books, and how they have been passionate about reading ever since they could probably read! When I was a child, I never understood how people could read so much.
Now, when the bee has finally stung me, I regret those days, those years that are gone by, when I did not read and wasted time sitting in front of the idiot box watching things which now seem so useless. Had I started back in those days, I could have completed reading so many books, which I am dying to complete now.
But as they say- Better late than Never. I have now felt the love for reading, felt the joy of finishing one book only to jump at the next book waiting on the bookshelf and wish to continue loving books in this manner.

There is so much that a book can offer. When you read and feel the words , you are transported to a different place, a place created by the author. In that reading time, you forget about your worldly worries. The characters get under your skin and you breathe with them, live with them, as long as the story continues, you stay with them, experiencing all the emotions that they feel.
Nothing in the world can create such an impact. And thus it is rightly said

-A book is proof that humans are capable of working magic.

With every book that I finish, I feel a strange satisfaction, and a stronge urge to pick up another book. I don't know if its the same for all you readers out there, but I think it is. A For Accomplishment !!

Wow, so the day has final arrived when we start our Write-a-thon, A to Z challenge!! With an incredible pressure of blogging everyday for one whole month, I must admit I am extremely excited and anxious to see if I can actually complete this challenge.

Okay, so today's letter is "A".
Now I could think of a hundred different things to write about, starting with the letter "A", but I choose Accomplishment.
Everyone in their life has a goal, an aim, which they wish to fulfill one day. It is their driving force.A small task or a huge project, the joy of completing it is absolutely surreal.
Be it your goal to score well in your exams or be it your target to acquire a higher rank in your office, both the achievement gives you happiness, which at that very moment is something un-parallel.
This is the joy of accomplishment!! A tiny success or a huge one isn't the ruling factor. What is important is the determination with which you go ahead, the zeal with which you chase the dream and the satisfaction you obtain thereafter.

I believe nothing can be worthless. Everything you do has value, if you look at it in the right prospect. For example- Making dinner might seem like a pain, instead why not order food from a restaurant. But after making dinner , the happiness your family members express at your excellent culinary skills, not only fills your heart with joy and satisfaction , but also with content which overshadows the little pain you endured while cooking.
So if you look at everything in your life as something worth chasing, and not as something that will bear no fruit, not only will you achieve it eventually but will also be happy with your life.

My current goal is to complete this A to Z challenge, for if by God's Will, I complete this challenge, there will be no limit to my happiness. This being my first ever writing challenge, acing it will give me a moral boost! And off course this accomplishment will be a stepping stone in my blogging career!!
